Who travels this way
History & archaeology lovers
Sanxingdui alone is worth the trip. The Dujiangyan irrigation system is the most impressive pre-industrial engineering feat you will ever stand inside.
First China visit
This itinerary is designed as the ideal first Sichuan experience — it covers the landmarks that matter without feeling like a checklist.
Couples at a relaxed pace
5 days with real variety — water, mountains, pandas, ancient history and contemporary Chengdu. No two days feel the same.
Culturally curious travellers
Qingcheng Mountain and the Sichuan Opera evening offer a side of China that most tourists miss entirely.
Make it yours
How we'd adapt this
Add a VIP health check-up
A morning slot at Chengdu TCM Hospital (Day 1 or 2) gives you a full health screen — 50+ tests, brain MRI, blood panel, TCM four examinations — done before 11:00.
Swap Xiling for a 2nd Leshan day
Emei Mountain — 2 hours from Leshan — is one of China's four sacred Buddhist mountains. Adding a night here turns Day 5 into something completely different.
Private Taoist experience at Qingcheng
We can arrange a private session with a Qingcheng Mountain Taoist master — meditation, calligraphy, tea ceremony. A half-day that visitors talk about for years.
